I am encouraged! The first meeting was phenomenal and productive! The initial membership are women who have skills and contacts that will compliment each other!
We discussed the mission of the society (the Advancement of Women & Elimination of Tyrannical & Subjugating Employers), and unanimously agreed that the First Action of the Secret Society should be to SHOW ACTION! This will be the best strategic move- do something that creates a buzz, which will aid in the next Action- Fundraising!

The Scarlett Intervention: Step 1- Infiltrate
The Society decided to have a secondary meeting about 'The Scarlett Intervention' to further develop the plan. The challenge is to publicly reprimand Mr. Henderson and the patron (drawing attention to the power of the Secret Society- (note: we must name the society before starting any action so as to “brand” activities!)), while not risking Scarlett’s job; the theatre she works for is part of the Empire wheel which tours the Western U.S. for forty weeks- very steady work for a performer. So we decided that Scarlett would not be directly involved in the 'snare'.
First, we considered what we currently have to work with: we have among the members: costumers, a socialite, a detective, a photographer, and a writer.

- ALEXIA: Photographer- document the action in process. She has just acquired a revolutionary, small, watch spy camera- it takes up to 6 images.
- KATE: Detective- infiltrate and set up the snare!
- CLARA: Writer- report the despicable act
The Scarlett Intervention: Step 2, Expose!
Kate and Alexia successfully infiltrated the burlesque theatre, posing as Mr.Kaye and Mr. Alec. Here is their report, given by Kate:
"Both Alexia and I arrived at Leigha's shop, by the back entrance, going in as women, but leaving auspiciously disguised as gentlemen! After binding our female curves, Leigha provided suits, cravats, and hats. I provided fake mustache and facial hair, and spectacles. Our hair was straightened and pulled back tightly.
At the burlesque theatre, we entered separately, each taking a seat near the back. I could spot Mr. Henderson overseeing the stage, and nodded a greeting. The audience was mainly composed of men, with a few accompanying ladies. Most were enjoying refreshments provided by the theatre company.

Alexia & I set off to the theater in our established male disguises a few hours before the evening burlesque show. Showing the tokens at the door, we were directed to a narrow stairwell, and descended into a small room, lit only by a few wall sconces.
In the center of the room was a small white table- curiously concave. We were directed to sit on a bench in front of the table, and a short time later an attendant entered the room who greeted 'Mr. Kay & Mr. Alec' and offered us a drink from the bar situated in the back of the room. Sitting back at the bench, sipping our drinks, the lights were further dimmed- so much we could barely make out the attendant, who was reaching for a long wooden rod which hung down from the ceiling. As our eyes accustomed to the dark, the white table seemed to come alive with a vision of Scarlett!

The Scarlett Intervention: Expose! (conclusion)
Alone in the Camera Obscura viewing room, both Kate and I are at first speechless. Scarlett is the unintended 'star' of a peepshow! Knowing that Mr. Henderson will join us soon, we quickly devise a plan. First, holding the spy camera at arms' length, I take 2 pictures; one of Kate and me standing in front of the camera obscura in full disguise, then for the 2nd picture we quickly remove a portion of our disguise to show who we are. I have one picture left and will save it for Mr. Henderson- we need proof that this is his operation.
Mr. Henderson arrives with much gusto, and Kate and I continue the ruse and ask Mr. Henderson about other 'options' he offers. Remember how Scarlett indicated a gentleman was not abiding by the 'hands-off' policy and was stalking her? Well, this low-life maggot tells us that we can have front-row seats in the theatre, and Scarlett will perform just for us! He says she literally will be "in our hands"! Of course, this comes only with an extra fee, which we tell Mr. Henderson that we will definitely raise the funds and return.
Meanwhile, the light above Scarlett's door begins flashing- her cue that she needs to standby for her cue for her stage entrance, so we see her leave the room.
Mr. Henderson thanks us for coming and escorts us out. He indicates to send a messenger in regards to our future arrangements.

The Scarlett Intervention: Trap planning!
At our group meeting, Alexia and Kate detailed out the layout, Mr. Henderson's "side business", and showed us the pictures taken with Alexia's spy camera.Of course, Scarlett was floored when she realized that she was the subject of a peep show, and then the pieces fell into place; the fellow that had been groping and stalking her always sat in the front area of the theatre, and thus had paid Mr. Henderson's second fee. She even recalled him making the comment in the theatre hallway, "I PAID for you...".
Again, we needed to be careful how we approach the reveal so as to protect Scarlett's job, as well as protecting the identity of "Mr. Kay and Mr. Alec". Further complicating the matter, Scarlett began to list the 'gentlemen' that sat in the front of the theatre, and foremost on the list was the editor of the paper that Clara writes for (under her male pseudonym). So we brainstormed as to how we can best 'TRAP' not only Mr. Henderson, but the editor, Mr. Ray.
Scarlett quickly clarified Mr. Henderson's position- he is the manager of the theatre, NOT the manager of the show. That is, Scarlett's theatre company was a member of the Eastern Burlesque Wheel, which falls under the management of the Traveling Variety Managers Association. (TVMA), and so the production manager was Mr. Hill. Scarlett assumes that he knows nothing of the secret obscura camera and Mr. Henderson's scheme. So our plan is to expose Mr. Henderson to Mr. Hill; Scarlett will arrange a meeting between Mr. Hill and "Mr's Kay & Alec".
Clara has some ideas on writing the article.. she will write a rough draft and we will meet again to review.
